Love for a Cowboy?!

Last Friday night I went out to dinner at a sportsbar in center city Philadelphia.  The Phillies were playing the Mets, so four friends and I figured it would be a great place to watch the game.  We sat at a table right in front of the projector, the Phillies won and the food was great; it could not have gone much better.

As we were finishing our meal, I turned around and saw a guy standing no more than five feet away from me; he was rocking a black button-down shirt and a white dial Super Avenger.  I immediately recognized that it was Hall-of-Fame Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman.

Next to Troy was Fox Sports announcer Joe Buck.  I have always been a Joe Buck fan, so I spoke to him for a bit and told him that I really appreciated his work.  I pieced together that the reason why they were in Philadelphia was that they were calling the Eagles vs. Packers nationally-televised NFL game Sunday on Fox.

Anyways, I have never been a Troy Aikman fan.  Living in Philadelphia teaches you to hate anything and everything affiliated with the Dallas Cowboys.  I must say though that seeing him with a Super Avenger on his wrist definitely made me look at him in a different light.

How could an EAGLES fan ever love a Cowboy? Breitling.

I guess this is the power of Breitling.  Anyone that is part of the Breitling clan cannot be that bad, right?

  1. I never cared for Aikman during his playing days either. That said, I do think he makes a great NFL host. I like how he never brags about his past playing daysd like some of the old washed up X-Stars do. Of course I always catch a glimpse of his SA, he needs to put that thing on a bracelet though! I agree, if you rock a BLing there has to be a decent bone in the body somewhere on anyone that does.

  2. Hey George, first let me say that Michael Vick looks good and I hope you guys secure that Wild Card spot early. The division belongs to Dallas now and always.

More importantly though, the wife asked for my Top 3 wishlist for our Anniversary. So I’ll be calling you soon…
