Do you ever find yourself wishing you could control time? I know I do, especially now that I am closer to 30 than 20 after my last birthday a few weeks ago… Well, apparently you are now able to slow or speed up time with Hublot’s new version of the La Clef du Temps.
The special edition timepiece certainly is funky-looking. The time is displayed in the upper right-hand corner of the dial, while a 5-day power-reserve indicator is displayed on the bottom left. A crown on the left side of the case enables you to speed up or slow down the time being displayed. Who said you cannot control time!?
Regardless of whether you speed up or slow down the time, the movement retains knowledge of the actual time, and you always have the ability to switch the time back to normal. The bottom of the case has a cylinder, which extends outward and holds a tourbillion inside. Talk about a complicated watch!
The model is part of Hublot Confrérie line and will be available in March of this year. The “time machine” watch, as I like to call it, has a very fitting name, as La Clef du Temps means “the key of time” in French. I really hope I get to see one these bad boys in person!
